What to get a diabetic or obese friend, that is the question. Box of Candy or other treats are off the list..... A new diet book would not go over too well.....
Therefore, whoever you gifted with a pedometer you helped lower their blood glucose levels, almost certainly. My personal experience may help here. These things are small and clip on your belt right above where your pants crease used to be. Now, my problem...Pedometers are often small (not much bigger then a postage stamp) and you think that's really cute and it wont be obtrusive for them to clip it on their belt.. Only thing wrong, mine were always so small I could never find them and I got out of the habit of wearing it cause i got sick and tired of trying to find it... on the dresser or wherever it escaped to, so my advice .....get them the biggest one you can find.... Sporting goods stores carry them but shop around, The electronic stores mainly have the tiny, tiny ones... pass. When you get one, clip it on your belt and take 30 steps.. It should have counted them. The idea is you will put on a few thousand steps normally with or without the pedometer, but you can add some more on when you see what your short fall is.. Just keep adding a few more every day over time...and first thing you know you have gone from 5,000 to 10,000.
If They Do Not Already Have One Get Them A Dog Studies over and over, (reported previously) show this present will out do a pedometer. It goes on and on and improves life expectancy by a significant amount. (a pedometer does not come into your easy chair spot carrying a lease, and wagging an enthusiastic tail) Will not go into this but since this is proven to be "life changing" and beats out buying socks by far.... do both.
