Alzheimer's Is Turning Out To Be Simply "Diabetes Type 3"?

It Sure Looks That Way

Many studies now indicate that Diabetes and Alzheimer's stem from the same root cause and Alzheimer's may turn out to be simply "Diabetes type 3".

One recent study found that when blood sugar levels get worse, Dementia (Alzheimer's) risks increase dramatically.

We noted a Stockholm nine year study with 1100 people that started with no Diabetes in the group.

Over time, those that came close to border line diabetes sugar levels, had a 70% higher chance of developing Dementia then those that had no blood sugar issues.

A United States eight year test studied 23,000
Diabetics, average age 66, with traditional Diabetic standard A1c tests showing scores of 10 to 12 equaled a 16% increase in the chance of getting Dementia.

Those with 12 to 15 levels rose to a 25% chance,

those above a "15", A1c reading had a whopping 83% rise in the chance of developing Dementia.

This study is showing that those Diabetic patients who kept their blood sugar levels closest to traditional target levels ( An A1c reading of 6, is a Diabetic Reading Considered "Good" ) ran much lower risks of developing forms of Dementia.

Therefore, when you are working to control your Diabetes with diet and exercise, you have also unbeknown to you, been working to control your Alzheimer's progression.

We have been telling you for some time, your Diabetes may turn out to be the very thing (a wake up) that made (we hope) you change your life style and thereby literally saved your life by correcting from many other things, beside diabetes, that were progressing and preparing to pounce and to "do you in".

Whatever you find that "works" to stave off complications of diabetes, will likely be also staving off the dreaded Alzheimer's.

Both Diabetes and Alzheimer's it appears, now are developed from or at least related to the traditional diabetes blood sugar disorders and excess insulin production attempting to overcome insulin resistance.

This resistance and resulting high insulin damage problem developed due to the high consumption over a period of years, of sugar, flour, and highly processed, refined and man made oils, fats and food.

Which we assume and hope you have long since corrected.

Both of these exploding disorders stem therefore, from the same root cause, namely an increasing amount of "Modern Man Processed Food plus maybe some unknowingly and knowingly poor personal dietary choices by consumers--

Diabetes does not cause Alzheimer's nor the other way around.,

It appears you can have one or the other or both from the same basic root cause.

Alzheimer's disease, it now, looks to be, a formerly unrecognized form or version of diabetes sugar disorder of the brain, much like what we know as the traditional "Diabetes of the nervous system and body cells".

Note: Your author also finds it interesting that a recent discovery indicates the brain has its own very small insulin manufacturing system.
